Maggie Lee

Maggie Lee was educated at German Swiss International School and graduated from University College, Oxford with a B.A. and Masters in English. She started out as English Editor for HK International Film Festival, HK Asia Film Financing Forum and HK Film Archive. In 2002, she moved to Japan, becoming project manager and programmer for several prestigious film festivals, including Tokyo Film Festival. She was discovered by The Hollywood Reporter and became their Asia Chief Critic for 5 years, before moving to the world’s top entertainment media Variety as Chief Asia Film Critic. She has been hired as a mentor by several film labs in China and Asia, and is Creative Director of CinemAsia FilmLab in The Netherlands. She also consults for Japan Foundation and Netherlands Film Fund.

Kevin ma

Kevin Ma holds a B.A. in Film Studies and Communication from University of California Davis, as well as a Masters of Fine Arts in Scriptwriting from Hong Kong’s Baptist University. He was the Greater China Correspondent for Film Business Asia, the go-to trade journal for Asian cinema. After taking up the former position of Entertainment Editor of Cathay Pacific’s Discovery magazine, Ma continued to run his own online news platform Asia in Cinema. He is a programming consultant, and contributes to publications by South Korea’s Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Italy’s Udine Far East Film Festival, Poland’s Five Flavours Film Festival, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and the Hong Kong Film Archive.
